Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Announce 2004-05 Schedule

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks open its eighth American Hockey League season with three road games in four nights, beginning Wednesday, October 13 in Utah. Cincinnati plays its first game at Cincinnati Gardens Saturday, October 23 against Rochester to start a three-game homestand.

The 2004-05 schedule consists of 80 games – 40 at Cincinnati Gardens and 40 road contests. The Mighty Ducks home schedule features 36 weekend games (15-Friday, 16-Saturday, five-Sunday) and four Wednesday night games.

Cincinnati will play 48 of its games against West Division opponents (Chicago, Grand Rapids, Houston, Milwaukee, San Antonio and Utah) and 28 games against members from the North Division (Cleveland, Edmonton, Hamilton, Manitoba, Rochester, Syracuse). The Mighty Ducks will play just four games outside the Western Conference, all against Philadelphia.

Popular out-of-town team visits at Cincinnati Gardens include: the Chicago Wolves (November 19, January 22, March 4, March 18, April 2), the Cleveland Barons (November 27, December 11, January 19, April 9), the Houston Aeros (February 25, February 26, April 8), the defending Calder Cup champion Milwaukee Admirals (January 28, March 25, March 26, April 16) and the Syracuse Crunch (February 4, February 5). In addition, the first-year Edmonton Roadrunners are scheduled to make two visits to Cincinnati (December 17 and December 18).

The 2005 AHL All-Star Classic will take place February 13-14 at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire.

The Mighty Ducks longest homestand is six games: February 23-March 5 against Philadelphia, Houston (two), Grand Rapids, Chicago and Utah. The club's longest road trip is five games: November 28-December 4 at Grand Rapids, Manitoba (two) and Edmonton (two). Cincinnati concludes the regular season at home Sunday, April 17 against Grand Rapids.

Mighty Ducks home games will have a 7:35 p.m. start time for all weekday and Saturday games and 5:05 p.m. for all Sunday games.
