MOOSIC, Pa. - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders fell to the Worcester Red Sox 11-5 on Wednesday night. Greg Allen, on a Major-League rehab assignment, hit a three-run homer in the game.

In the top of the first, David Hamilton and Nick Sogard drew back-to-back walks and Ceddanne Rafaela singled to load the bases. A sacrifice fly from Bobby Dalbec scored Hamilton, but Tanner Tully worked out of the jam from there to hold the score at 1-0 in favor of Worcester.

In the bottom of the third, Sogard led off the inning with a triple before Dalbec singled him in to make it 2-0 Red Sox.

Worcester expanded their lead in the top of the fourth, Ceddanne Rafaela doubled in two runs to stretch their lead to 4-0.

The opponents added one more in the sixth off the bat of Stephen Scott.

A pair of singles from Jesús Bastidas and Wilmer Difo set the stage for Greg Allen in the bottom half. Allen, on a Major-League rehab assignment, notched a three-run shot to left field to trim the Worcester lead to 5-3.

In the top of the eighth, Ronaldo Hernandez started off the frame with a single and the next five consecutive batters reached on free passes. Rafaela and Dalbec drove in two more for a 11-3 lead.

A trio of singles from Everson Pereira, Carlos Narvaez and Andrés Chaparro loaded the bases to start the bottom of the eighth. Jake Lamb walked in Pereira. A groundout from Jamie Westbrook scored Narvaez and SWB tallied two, at the end of eight innings, Worcester led 11-5.

Tanner Tully (L, 5-4) went four innings allowing four runs on six hits with four strikeouts. Anthony Misiewicz worked 1.1 innings giving up just a run and a hit with a strikeout. Deivi García pitched 1.2 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts. DJ Snelten's line finished with six runs on a hit and four walks. Michael Gomez pitched two clean innings to end the contest.

Kyle Barraclough (W, 5-0) tossed six innings giving up three runs on four hits, while AJ Politi recorded his ninth save of the season.
