Predators Recall Upshall

Milwaukee, WI-Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Scottie Upshall from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League and reassigned forward Jeremy Yablonski from Milwaukee to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. In addition, forward David Legwand has returned to practice with Nashville following his AHL conditioning assignment with Milwaukee.

Upshall, 22, has posted 33 points (17g-16a) and a +11 rating in 23 games with Milwaukee this season. The 6-0, 197-pound winger, the Predators' first-round pick (sixth overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, has recorded 14 points (5g-9a) and a +7 rating in 34 NHL games with Nashville this season.

Yablonski, 25, has one assist and 82 penalty minutes in 30 games for the Admirals this season. In parts of three seasons with Milwaukee, the Meadow Lake, SASK native has six points (3g-3a) and 209 PIMs in 64 games. He was also a member of the Admirals 2004 Calder Cup Championship team. The 6-2, 240-lb right wing played in 69 games for the Steelheads back in the 2001-02 season when the club was in the WCHL.

Legwand, 25, appeared in three contests with the Admirals this past weekend, his first game action since undergoing surgery on December 12 to repair torn cartilage in his knee. The 6-2, 190-pound center has 13 points (3g-10a) in 26 games with Nashville this season.
