Canucks Recall Butenschon, Mojzis

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled defenceman Sven Butenschon and Tomas Mojzis.

Butenschon, 29, has appeared in three games so far this season with the Canucks, collecting six penalty minutes. In total, the 10-year veteran has played in a total of 345 career NHL games where he has scored 52 goals and 125 assists for 177 points, and has collected 438 penalty minutes. So far this year with the Moose, the Winnipeg, MB native is second in the AHL in goal-scoring amongst defencemen with 13 goals. He also has 14 assists for 27 points and 18 penalty minutes. He is tops on the Moose in plus/minus ratings at +11, and is tied for the most game-winning goals with four. He is second on the team in powerplay goals with nine.

Mojzis, 23, has played in five games and collected one assist and eight penalty minutes with the Canucks. The native of Kolin, Czech Republic has appeared in 37 games so far this season with the Moose. He has scored five goals and 12 assists for 17 points and 52 penalty minutes.
