The Stars and the Americans meet for their only regular season match-up at Wells Fargo Arena on Tuesday night--- Coming off a 6-4 loss at home to Hamilton on Sunday, the Americans will bring a 26-27-1-2 record to Wells Fargo Arena. They have 55 total points. The Amerks are currently in the midst of an 0-6-0-1 stretch and have just three wins in their last 10 games--- This season marks the 50th AHL season for the City of Rochester. Only the Hershey Bears (68) and the Springfield Indians/Kings (51) have been members of the AHL longer. The Amerks have qualified for the Calder Cup Playoffs in each of their last 16 seasons, the second longest streak in AHL history. The original Cleveland Barons reached the post-season 24 straight years (1941-64). In all, Rochester has won six Calder Cups (fourth-most in AHL) in 39 playoff appearances (second-most) and 10 times has lost in the Finals (tied for First).

The Stars and the Admirals play for the ninth time this year on Wednesday--- Iowa is 0-3 in Milwaukee--- Darren Haydar paces the club with 64 points, including a team-leading 22 goals. Haydar also has a teamlow ‘minus 9' rating--- Milwaukee is 36-16-5-2 this season and is 5-3-1-1 in their last 10 games. Their 79 points are good for second in the West Division and third in the Western Conference.

The Stars and the Rivermen clash for the eighth time this season on Friday night in Peoria. The last time they met, the Rivermen were able to secure a 4-3 shootout win in Peoria on February 12th--- Peoria has a record of 32-20-1-4 and sits in third place in the West Division with 69 points--- The Rivermen posted a 4-3 overtime win at home against Chicago on Sunday--- Both of Peoria's top-two point-getters, Mike Glumac and Trent Whitfield are currently on recall with St. Louis. Glumac paces the club with 25 goals and 57 points, while Whitfield has 34 assists and 53 total points--- The Rivermen host the Rochester Americans on Wednesday prior to playing Iowa on Friday.

On Saturday, the first 5,000 fans will receive a Dan Jancevski Bobblehead--- The Moose posted 3-2 and 5-2 wins in Manitoba on February 3rd and 4th--- Manitoba is 34-17-4-3 with 75 points this season. They are third in the North Division and fifth overall in the Western Conference--- All-Stars goalie Wade Flaherty is third in the AHL with a 2.36 Goals Against Average. He is 20-13-2 in 37 games and is fourth in the AHL with a .921 Save Percentage--- Manitoba has scored 12 shorthanded goals this season, with rookie Mike S. Brown potting five of them. Brown has seven total goals--- Jesse Schultz leads the club with 46 points, including a team-high 29 goals.

- Sat., Mar. 4th - DAN JANCEVSKI BOBBLEHEAD NIGHT! The first 5,000 fans ‘through the turnstiles' will receive a bobblehead of Dan Jancevski, the Iowa Stars Captain.
- Sat., Mar. 4th - SHOOTER will be appearing at the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes in the Skywalk. Shooter will be appearing between 7-10 AM.

STAR DUST:
- David Oliver has points in 13 of his last 18 games, including a four-game points-streak and a five-game points-streak, since returning from an injury on January 14th. The right winger has 14 points, including 10 goals in those 13 games.
- Mathias Tjarnqvist took the second penalty-shot in Iowa franchise history on Thursday, February 23rd in Houston. As was the case with Toby Petersen's attempt, he failed to registered a goal.
- Captain Dan Jancevski extended his points-streak to four games with an assist and has tied a career-high with 26 points. The fifth-year pro has five goals and 21 assists this season.
- Defenseman Shawn Belle scored his first professional goal in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss in San Antonio.
- With 16 total shots against on Sunday, the Stars defense established a new team-low. The previous low for shots allowed was 18, set on October 29th in Chicago.

LOOKING BACK AT WEEK 21: 1 WIN, 1 LOSS, 1 SHOOTOUT LOSS

2/23/06 - The Iowa Stars and Houston Aeros met for the third time in seven days Thursday night at the Toyota Center in Houston and for the second consecutive game, the AHL's third ranked team defeated the Stars by the score of 4-3. Forward Mathias Tjarnqvist failed to convert on Iowa's second penalty-shot attempt of the season. His attempt came at the 11:18 mark of the second period. Defenseman Dan Jancevski registered two assists in the loss. Thursday was the seventh time that Iowa has scored three or more power-play goals in a game and was their first regulation loss when doing so: (5-1-0-1)

2/24/06 - The Iowa Stars and San Antonio Rampage played their fifth game of the 10 game season series on Friday night. Behind the strength of a 31 save performance by goalie Mike Smith, Iowa posted a 2-0 victory and snapped a six-game winless streak. Twenty-one 21 of Smith's 31 saves came in the last two periods of the game. The shutout was Smith's third this season and Iowa's fourth overall. Junior Lessard's unassisted goal put him in a three-way tie with Toby Petersen and Loui Eriksson for the team lead. Forward David Oliver had his five-game points-streak halted. He had four goals and two assists in that span.

2/26/06 - The Iowa Stars and San Antonio Rampage concluded their two-game set on Sunday afternoon in Texas. For the ninth time this season, the Stars went to the shootout, ultimately falling 4-3. Despite the shootout loss, Iowa did pick-up a point in the standings and gained ground on the dormant Omaha Knights. Captain Dan Jancevski extended his pointsstreak to four games with an assist and has tied a career-high with 26 points. The fifth-year pro has five goals and 21 assists this season. Defenseman Shawn Belle tied the game at three on a stick-side top-shelf shot at the halfway mark of the third period. It was the first professional goal for the former 2003 First Round Draft Pick. Stars Goalie Mike Smith faced 14 shots in regulation and one in overtime. With a shot added for the shootout goal, the 16 total shots is a new teamlow for Iowa's defense. The previous mark was 18 on October 29th in Chicago. Iowa out-shot San Antonio 41-16, the largest such margin (25) in a loss for the Stars this season.
