POWER ALL-STARS: West Virginia placed four players on the 2010 South Atlantic League's Northern Division All-Star team. Ramon Cabrera, Aaron Baker, David Rubinstein, and Nathan Baker were selected by the managers, staff, fans, and media to compete in the mid-season classic, to be played at Fluor Field in Greenville, South Carolina on June 22. Aaron Baker will start at designated hitter for the North, which will be managed by Hickory's Bill Richardson. Hagerstown, Hickory, and Kannapolis each placed five representatives on the squad. RUBINSTEIN ROLLS ON: Power outfielder David Rubinstein extended his current hitting streak to 11 straight dating back to May 27. The right fielder is batting .381 during this 11 game stretch, and has surpassed the previous season-best eight game runs by several West Virginia players this season. Rubinstein's current streak is the longest active such streak in the league, and is tied for the fifth longest game-wise run this season.

SLAM BAM CUNNINGHAM: Jarek Cunningham hit West Virginia's first grand slam of the 2010 season in the Power's Saturday night win. The Power had hit 33 home runs prior to the slam, including 21 solo home runs, nine two-run shots, and three three-run jimmy jacks. The 2009 edition of the Power hit 71 home runs, including three grand slams.

AT ASHEVILLE: West Virginia trails the all-time series with the Tourists 20-22 heading into today's doubleheader, including an 9-10 record at McCormick Field since 2005.
