(Charleston, WV- June 3, 2014) - The West Virginia Power lost 3-0 to the Kannapolis Intimidators in a rain shortened no-hitter. The Intimidators and Power were scoreless through three until Kannapolis scored two in the fourth and added a run in the fifth while Thad Lowry tossed five no-hit innings.

The Intimidators got on the board with the first two hits of the game in the fourth on a Jacob Morris RBI double and a Trey Michalczewski RBI single. Kannapolis added to the lead when Danny Hayes plated Hunter Jones on a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

Intimidators starter Thad Lowry (1-3) threw five no-hit innings walking two and striking out five. Dovydas Neverauskas (3-3) was charged with the loss. West Virginia was no-hit for the second time in franchise history and for the first time since June 19, 2005 against Hagerstown.
