LAKEWOOD, NJ - Andrew Knapp's three-run triple in the first inning put the BlueClaws ahead early and they coasted to an 8-4 win over Greensboro on Tuesday night at FirstEnergy Park.

Lakewood snapped their 5-game losing streak and had lost eight of nine before the Tuesday night win. Their eight runs scored were their highest total since May 24th in a 7-0 win at West Virginia behind Anderson.

Greensboro starter Max Garner walked the first three hitters he faced, setting up the three-run double by Knapp, playing in his second game with the BlueClaws. Samuel Hiciano added a first inning RBI single as the BlueClaws took a 4-0 lead.

That was more than enough for starter Drew Anderson, who allowed two runs over six innings to improve to 4-4 on the season.

The BlueClaws would add two runs in the fourth and sixth innings on a pair of two-run doubles by Andrew Pullin. Pullin's four RBIs were a new career-high.

The teams were scheduled to play a double-header on Tuesday night, but played one game because of a 105 minute rain delay. They will now play two on Wednesday beginning at 11:05 am. RHP Ranfi Casimiro (2-5, 5.80) and RHP Julio Reyes (0-2, 3.64) will pitch the two games for Lakewood.

Fans with tickets to Tuesday's double-header can exchange them for a ticket to the game on Monday, June 9th, when the BlueClaws will retire the #19 worn by 2003 BlueClaws pitcher Cole Hamels in a pre-game ceremony.
