(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Catcher-first baseman Frank Schwindel and outfielder Dominique Taylor will represent the Lexington Legends on the Southern Division team at the 2014 South Atlantic League All-Star game in Hickory, N.C. June 17.

Each team will have 26 players on its roster. The voting was done by managers and coaching staffs, media and front office executives.

Schwindel is batting .272 with nine home runs and 32 runs batted in. He was named South Atlantic League Player of the Week for May 26-June 1 after batting .414 (12 for 29) with six homers and 16 runs batted in in seven games.

Schwindel was an 18th round choice by the Legends' parent club, the Kansas City Royals, in the 2013 draft. He played in college at St. John's.

Taylor, a 15th round choice by the Royals in 2013, is batting .308 with four homers and 21 RBI, and has stolen 10 bases in 12 attempts. He played for UC-Irvine before signing with the Royals.

"Most of our front office staff will make the trip to Hickory for the game, and it's going to be exciting to see Frank and Dominique represent the Legends," said Legends President/COO Andy Shea. "They have had outstanding seasons and deserve to be honored as being among the best in the South Atlantic League."

The Legends are on the road in Greenville, S.C. and Augusta, Ga. through Sunday. They will begin a seven-game homestand Monday night against Asheville.
