
GreenJackets Lose Second Game to Braves, 4-3

Augusta, GA--The Augusta GreenJackets (27-29) lost the second consecutive game against the Rome Braves (18-40) on Tuesday night, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The final score was 4-3.
The Rome Braves put themselves on the board in the first inning with a single by Jake Schrader. A home run by Victor Caratini put the Braves up by two in the third inning. It was again in the fifth inning when Jake Schrader plated another run for the team with a single to left-center field.
The GreenJackets finally scored in the sixth inning. Jeremy Sy doubled to left field allowing the team to come within one run of the Braves. Sy went 3 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI.
Both teams scored again in the ninth inning. Johan Carmago drove in the final run for Rome. Designated hitter John Polonius drove in the final run for the GreenJackets. Augusta finished the game with nine hits but went two for six with runners in scoring position.
