ASHEVILLE, NC - The 2014 All-Star Game to be played in Hickory, North Carolina, will feature three players and one coach from the Asheville Tourists. The Southern division's All-Stars face off against the Northern division's All-Stars on Tuesday, June 17. Tickets are available by calling the Hickory Crawdads at (828) 322-3000 and a limited number of tickets are available at the McCormick Field ServPro Box Office. Asheville's selections include starting third-baseman Ryan McMahon, starting centerfielder David Dahl, and starting designated hitter Correlle Prime. The three players are joined by Asheville's Athletic Trainer Billy Whitehead.

Entering Tuesday night, McMahon ranks among the top five in the South Atlantic League in Home Runs (10), RBI (43), doubles (21), slugging percentage (.544), extra-base hits (32), and runs scored (40). Ryan has started 47 of his 52 games played this season at third base for the Tourists and will man the hot corner as the starter for the Southern division squad.

Dahl, who has split time this season at all three outfield spots, will start in centerfield for the Southern division All-Stars. David is batting .272 with 9 Home Runs and 26 RBI this season. Dahl has feasted off left handed pitching this season; posting a .342 batting average against southpaws. The outfielder leads the Tourists in hits (58), triples (5), and tied for the team lead in stolen bases (11).

Prime will start on the Southern division roster as the designated hitter, even though he has only been the Tourists DH twice this season. As Asheville's every day first-baseman, Correlle leads the team in Home Runs (11) and total bases (109). Correlle is batting .275 on the year and eight of his Home Runs came in the month of May; one of which was a Grand Slam against Hagerstown on May 22.

Whitehead heads to Hickory as the Athletic trainer for the entire Southern division team. Billy is in his sixth season with the Tourists and was named the 2012 league athletic trainer of the year.

"We could not be more proud as an organization for these young men," said Tourists President Brian DeWine. "Ryan, David, and Correlle have all performed on the field and represented the Tourists to the highest degree off the field. The fact that all three were named starters makes it even more rewarding."

With two weeks remaining in the first half of the South Atlantic League season, the Tourists are five games back of first place in the Southern division. Asheville will begin four-game homestand on Thursday, June 5 against the Kannapolis Intimidators.
