Charleston Dirty Birds Announce Halloween Double Feature at GoMart Ballpark

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Charleston Dirty Birds will transform the field at GoMart Ballpark into an outdoor movie theater Oct. 9 for a Halloween-themed double feature sponsored by The Arc of the Three Rivers. Families, friends and movie fans are invited onto the field for an evening featuring "Hocus Pocus" followed by "The Addams Family," bringing two seasonal favorites to the big screen in the heart of Charleston.

The Halloween Double Feature brings GoMart Ballpark's family-friendly atmosphere into the fall, offering a unique way for fans to enjoy the ballpark beyond baseball season. Guests can settle in for a festive fall night featuring back-to-back Halloween movies at one of Charleston's favorite entertainment venues.

The evening is made possible with support from The Arc of the Three Rivers, a West Virginia nonprofit that advocates for and provides services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through its sponsorship, The Arc and the Dirty Birds are bringing the community together for an accessible, welcoming night of entertainment while highlighting the importance of inclusion and community connection.

"True inclusion is when we stop thinking about who a space was created for and simply know that it was created for everyone. The Dirty Birds understand the power of bringing people together and creating experiences where ability doesn't determine who gets to participate, connect, or belong," said Jennifer McCafferty, executive director for Arc of the Three Rivers. "For one night, we can all just be neighbors, friends, and families enjoying something together. That's the kind of inclusion we hope to see everywhere."
