Pilkington And Wharton On Weekly Radio Show Tonight
January 7, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release
The Jackals Coaches Show is on the air tonight, broadcasting live from O'Ryans Sports Bar and Grill - 159 Prescott Avenue in Elmira Heights, on NewsTalk 1230 & 1450 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
The Voice of the Jackals, Grady Whittenburg, is your host and will be discussing all things Jackals hockey with head coach Steve Martinson as the team comes off of a four-game road trip with three wins while moving to within two points of first place Cincinnati.
Players scheduled to join tonight's show include forward Brett Pilkington and one of the newest Jackals, defenseman Kyle Wharton. Pilkington, who had just one point in 11 games with Mississippi before his trade to Elmira on November 15th, has picked up 27 points in 24 contests with the Jackals. Wharton made a splash in his Jackals debut last Friday by scoring twice and picking up First Star honors in a 6-3 win over Dayton.
Martinson will also announce the latest player signing by Jackals as they prepare for the second half of the season and the coming Kelly Cup playoffs.
Dinner and drink specials will be available at O'Ryans during the show and all Jackals fans are encouraged to come down and enjoy the show live.
For fans that cannot make it to the show, but would like to pose a question to one of the guests or provide their thoughts on the Jackals and hear a response on tonight's show, feel free to e-mail questions and comments to radio@firstarena.com before 4:30 this afternoon.
