Pierre-Marc Bouchard Loaned to Sound Tigers

UNIONDALE, N.Y. (Dec. 10, 2013) - The New York Islanders announced today that they have loaned forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Bouchard was placed on waivers Monday and cleared today at noon.

Bouchard, 29, had nine points (five goals, four assists) in 28 games this season. He was signed by the Isladners as a free agent this offseason. From 2002-2013, Bouchard was a member of the Minnesota Wild. In 565 games, the Sherbrooke, Quebec, native collected 347 points (106 goals, 341 assists).

Bouchard was a first-round (eighth overall) draft pick of the Wild in 2002. He played 63 games for the Houston Aeros of the AHL in 2004-05.

Prior to being drafted, Bouchard played two seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. In two seasons, he scored 235 points (84 goals, 151 assists).
