Monsters Spreading Holiday Cheer at The Q
December 10, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Cleveland Monsters News Release
It will be a festive night at The Q on Saturday, December 21st when the Monsters take on the Rochester Americans at 7:00 p.m. in a game that will be filled with holiday cheer on the ice, in the stands and in the community!
On the ice, Monsters players will trade in their usual home jerseys for the ever-so-fabulous "ÂUgly Holiday Sweater' jersey. To brighten The Q with yuletide cheer, fans are encouraged to wear their own "ugly holiday sweater" to the game that night.
Monsters fans will also have the chance to take home the game-worn UGLY SWEATER JERSEY of their favorite player. Fans can bid on each player's game worn jersey via an in-game silent auction, a live postgame auction and an auction held online at LakeErieMonsters.com. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Monsters Community Fund, which supports Northeast Ohio programs that positively impact the areas of education, youth hockey, health and wellness and basic needs.
The Saturday night fun continues as the team also hosts its 7th annual Chuck-a-Bear promotion. This special night is designed to also bring a little extra holiday cheer to local children in need and starts by encouraging all fans to bring new stuffed animals to the game. After the first Monsters goal of the game, fans will toss their stuffed animal onto the ice where they will be collected and then donated to local charitable groups that serve children. This is a well-known hockey holiday tradition and the Monsters are proud to carry it on at The Q!
Get to The Q for all three Monsters' Holiday Games (Dec. 21st at 7:00 p.m., Dec. 27th at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 28th at 1:00 p.m.) where single game tickets start at only $10! Just in-time for the holidays, the Monsters Holiday Plan starts at only $42 and includes tickets, parking and a free Monsters ski hat. Tickets can be purchased at LakeErieMonsters.com, calling (216) 420-0000, visiting The Q box office or any Northern Ohio Discount Drug Mart.
The Lake Erie Monsters are part of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena organization and also owned by a group led by Cavaliers Majority Owner and Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert. The group also owns and operates the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League playing at Quicken Loans Arena and the Canton Charge of the NBA Development League playing in nearby Canton, Ohio at the Canton Civic Center.
