
Blue Jackets Reassign Thomas Larkin to Springfield

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced Tuesday that defenseman Thomas Larkin has been reassigned to the club by the Columbus Blue Jackets from the ECHL's Evansville IceMen. In conjunction, defenseman Austin Madaisky was reassigned to Evansville.
Larkin, who participated in training camp and the preseason with the Falcons, has suited up in 19 games for the IceMen in 2013-14, totaling nine points (zero goals, nine assists), 37 penalty minutes and a +6 rating. The Colgate University product played seven games with Springfield at the end of the 2012-13 campaign, scoring one goal with two penalty minutes and a -3 rating.
Madaisky rejoins the IceMen after playing 11 games in Evansville last season, totaling six points (two goals, four assists). The Surrey, British Columbia native recorded three points (one goal, two assists), two penalty minutes and a -1 rating in eight games with the Falcons this season.
The Falcons are back in action Wednesday, December 11 when they hit the road to take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The team plays its next five games on the road, returning to the MassMutual Center Thursday, December 26 to host the Adirondack Phantoms.
