Minnesota Wild Recalls Zucker from Iowa

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Tuesday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Jason Zucker (pronounced ZOOK-ER) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.

Zucker, 21 (1/16/92), has tallied 12 points (7-512) and 49 penalty minutes (PIM) in 16 games with Iowa this season. He ranks first on the team with four power-play goals, is second in goals and third in scoring. Zucker has registered 15 shots in six games with Minnesota this season and owns seven points (4-37) in 32 career NHL games with the Wild. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound forward was born in Newport Beach, Calif., and raised in Las Vegas, Nev. He was selected by Minnesota in the second-round (No. 59) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Wild continues a six-game road trip on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 9 p.m. (CT) at Abbotsford. After a second game on Thursday, Dec. 12, the team returns home on Sunday, Dec. 15 to host Rockford at 4:05 p.m. For Sunday's game, the team will hold its first Teddy Bear Toss, where fans are encouraged to throw a stuffed animal on the ice for charity. Fans will be permitted to through Teddy Bears on the ice after the Wild score its first goal of the night. Fans may purchase the Subway Family Four Pack for the game, which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and Subway coupons starting at $44.
