
P-Bruins Prepare for Three Game Weekend

The Providence Bruins took four out of a possible six points this weekend to improve to 28-20-1-2, 59 points, on the season and remain in fourth place in the Atlantic Division, five points behind the third place Hartford Wolf Pack. Wednesday at Lowell the P-Bruins scored four times in the third period including two goals from Pascal Pelletier and a two point game from David Lundbohm on their way to a 5-1 victory. Friday at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Pelletier scored in overtime to lead the P-Bruins to a 2-1 victory over the Albany River Rats. Providence had a 1-0 lead off a Nathan Robinson goal before the River Rats tied the game late in the third. Jordan Sigalet started both games for the P-Bruins earning two victories, while giving up only two goals. The P-Bruins as a team have kept their opponents off the board allowing on average 2.69 goals per game, which ranks third in the league and only 27.90 shots per game, which ranks second in the league.
Eric Healey continues to lead the P-Bruins in scoring with 46 points (22g, 24a). Healey's also second in the league in shooting percentage scoring 23.7% of the time he takes a shot. Nathan Robinson is second on the team in scoring with 41 points (21g, 20a). Rookie Tyler Redenbach remains third on the team in scoring with 37 points (14g, 23a). He also leads the team in plus/minus at +16 and is third among AHL rookies in the same category. Ben Guite is fourth on the team in scoring with 33 points (16g, 17a) and leads the P-Bruins in power play goals with seven. Zdenek Blatny was fifth on the team in scoring with 30 points (8, 22a) before being traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning for goaltender Brian Eklund.
The Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday, February 17 against the Portland Pirates at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive Providence Bruins key chains courtesy of your New England Dodge Dealers.
