AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Rochester Americans forward Stefan Meyer has been suspended for a total of two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. Syracuse on Feb. 11.

Meyer has been suspended one game for receiving a match penalty, in addition to an automatic one-game suspension for instigating an altercation within the last five minutes of the third period.

Meyer will miss Rochester's games on Friday (Feb. 17) vs. Binghamton and Saturday (Feb. 18) at Toronto. He will be eligible to return on Sunday (Feb. 19) vs. Cleveland.
