Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers conclude their five-game road series against the Nashville Sounds at 7:05 p.m. at First Tennessee Park. The series is tied, 2-2, after the Sounds have won the last two meetings between the teams.

Last Game: Nashville scored twice in the first inning and held the lead the rest of the way in a 6-4 victory over the Dodgers Tuesday night at First Tennessee Park. The Sounds jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead. With the bases loaded and one out, Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a ground ball toward third base, but a throwing error by Angelo Mora turned a potential double play into two runs instead for Nashville. The Dodgers responded with a run in the second inning with back-to-back doubles by Jon Kemmer and Jake Peter, but the Sounds got the run back in the bottom of the inning with a RBI double by Christian Lopes. Nashville's Matt Davidson connected on a two-run homer in the third inning to make it 5-1. Connor Joe cut the deficit back to two runs with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Davidson struck back in the seventh, lining a RBI double to push Nashville's lead to 6-3. The Dodgers edged closer with a sac fly by DJ Peters in the eighth inning, but could not rally further. Sounds closer David Carpenter retired the side in order in the ninth to finish the game and earn his 14th save of the season. Nashville starting pitcher Seth Maness (5-2) earned the win after allowing three runs and five hits over five innings, with one walk and six strikeouts. OKC starting pitcher Dennis Santana's recent rut continued, and he was handed the loss. Over five innings, Santana (2-6) allowed five runs (four earned) and seven hits, with three walks and three strikeouts.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Brock Stewart (2-6) seeks his third win of the season when he takes the mound tonight...He last pitched June 28 against New Orleans, tying his season-high with seven runs and allowing eight hits, including a season-high three homers, over 5.0 innings. He finished with one walk and four strikeouts and was charged with the loss in OKC's 9-7 defeat...Stewart has issued just four walks in his last four starts (21.0 IP), including two walks in his last three outings combined (16.0)...Earlier this season, Stewart made his first career Major League Opening Day roster and appeared in three games for the LA Dodgers before being optioned to OKC April 7...Stewart was selected by the Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB Draft from Illinois State University and was named the Dodgers' 2016 Branch Rickey Minor League Pitcher of the Year...Tonight is Stewart's second start of the season against the Sounds and fifth career start against the Sounds. On May 8 against Nashville in OKC, Stewart allowed seven runs and eight hits over 3.2 innings with three walks and two strikeouts and was charged with the loss.

Against the Sounds: 2019: 3-4 2018: 7-9 All-time: 186-157 At NAS: 90-83 Oklahoma City and Nashville meet for their second series of the season...The Sounds took two of three games in OKC May 7-10, with the finale currently suspended...During the first series between the teams, Will Smith led OKC with five hits, while Kyle Garlick racked up five RBI and hit two home runs...The Sounds are now the Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers after serving as the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics the past four seasons...Nashville won the 2018 series against OKC, 9-7, winning seven of the final nine meetings. It marked just the second time in eight years the Sounds won the season series...Since First Tennessee Park opened in 2015, the Dodgers are 22-14 in Music City and have not finished with a record below .500 in any of the four seasons.

Young Bloods: Gavin Lux picked up another hit last night, drew a walk and scored a run as he has now hit safely in each of his first five Triple-A games. The 21-year-old is now 10-for-21 with five doubles, a home run, three walks, three RBI and seven runs scored...DJ Peters singled last night and brought home a run on a sacrifice fly. He is 8-for-23 through six games with OKC, with four doubles, a homer, five RBI, five walks and four runs scored...Both players are ranked among the Dodgers' Top-10 prospects and were promoted from Double-A Tulsa June 27.

I Came in Like a Rek-ing Ball: Zach Reks collected two doubles last night and has now hit safely in 10 straight games (17x44) as well as in 22 of his last 23 games, batting .386 (39x101) with 13 multi-hit games, nine homers and 28 RBI. He has also hit safely in 25 of his last 26 starts, going 44-for-118 (.373) with 10 home runs, 10 doubles and 32 RBI...During the current series in Nashville, Reks is 8-for-19 with five extra-base hits...Reks leads all Dodgers minor leaguers with 21 total homers and 61 total RBI between OKC and Double-A Tulsa over 74 games. Between 2017-18, Reks hit just seven homers and tallied 52 RBI over 135 games...In the month of June, Reks finished second in the PCL in total bases (74), tied for second in homers (10) and third in RBI (30)...Since joining OKC May 16, he ranks tied for second in the PCL with 39 RBI.

Bump in the Road: The Dodgers have lost back-to-back road games for the first time since late May, but have still won 12 of their last 16 road games. During the 16-game stretch of away games, the Dodgers have outscored opponents, 133-84. OKC is batting .311 (180x578) with 81extra-base hits, 32 home runs and is hitting .329 (55x167) with runners in scoring position...Six of the 12 wins have been by at least six runs and OKC has scored 10 or more runs in seven of the 12 victories. Last night was just the third time in those 16 road games the team was held to fewer than five runs...Prior to the current series, OKC last lost consecutive road games May 26-28 when they lost four in a row at Omaha.

For Pete's Sake: Jake Peter hit a ground-rule RBI double in the second inning last night to extend his hitting streak to a season-best seven games. He is 10-for-26 (.385) during the streak with three multi-hit games, seven extra-base hits, five RBI and six runs scored...After slashing .160/.331/.298 through the end of May, Peter is slashing .288/.390/.530 since June 1. He has 19 hits and 10 extra-base hits during that span after collecting 15 hits and six extra-base hits in April and May combined.

Quack Attack: Over his last 18 outings, all-star reliever Kevin Quackenbush has allowed two runs and 13 hits, with three walks and 28 strikeouts over 17.0 innings. He enters tonight with scoreless appearances in 12 of his last 13 games, holding opponents to one run and 10 hits with 20 strikeouts over 13.0 IP... Quackenbush ranks tied for third in the PCL with 33 appearances and is second in strikeouts among relievers (56).

CoJo's Bite: Connor Joe hit his fourth home run in the last eight games last night, connecting on a two-run shot in the fifth inning. With the recent boost, Joe has doubled his home run total to eight this season after hitting four homers through his first 44 games with OKC. Joe also scored two runs and drew a walk Tuesday in Nashville...He is now 8-for-22 with three homers, two doubles, eight RBI, eight runs scored and seven walks during his current season-best six-game hitting streak...Joe leads OKC's qualified players with a .420 OBP, which also is tied for 10th in the PCL.

Around the Horn: Team designated hitters have combined to bat .310 with five homers, 14 extra-base hits and 22 RBI over 30 games against American League affiliates...In six non-rehab appearances with OKC this season, Caleb Ferguson has pitched 7.0 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk with 10 strikeouts...Dodgers pitchers notched just four strikeouts last night, matching their lowest total since May 29 at Omaha. They've whiffed just 18 batters over the last three games, which is their second-lowest three-game total of the season. On the other hand, the offense has struck out 38 times over the last three games. The team's highest three-game strikeout total is 40, done twice previously.
