
Norfolk drop three close games

NORFOLK, VA - The Admirals played three divisional games this past weekend, dropping two to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and one to Philadelphia. On Friday, November 18th, the Penguins defeated Norfolk 3-1 at the Scope. The next night, the Admirals rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force overtime, but fell again to the Pens, a 3-2 OTL. On Sunday, another third period comeback bid fell short as the Ads lost to the Phantoms 2-1.
Norfolk hosts Philadelphia the day before Thanksgiving before playing a home-and-home series against the Hershey Bears on Friday and Saturday.
STANDINGS
At 6-9-1-1 (14 pts), Norfolk is currently fifth in the East Division. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (16-0-1-0, 33 pts) is in first, followed by Hershey (10-3-2-3, 25 pts), Bridgeport (8-9-1-0, 17 pts) and Philadelphia (7-10-0-2, 16 pts). Binghamton (5-9-1-1, 12 pts) sits in sixth.

Norfolk has two losses when allowing two or fewer goals this season, both to Philadelphia. The Admirals are now 5-2-0-0 when scored upon twice in a game.
Colin Fraser set a new franchise record with penalty minutes in 13 straight games (39 PIM since Oct. 21st).
