
Monarchs Send Two To Reading And Recall One

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have loaned goaltender Barry Brust and returned center Greg Hogeboom on loan to the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today. In addition, the Monarchs have recalled defenseman Tyler Hanchuck from Reading. Brust, 22, appeared in six games with the Monarchs this season, compiling a record of 4-1-1, a goals-against-average of 2.55 and a save-percentage of .923. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound native of Swan River, Manitoba, played in 42 games with the Royals last season. Brust compiled a record of 27-9-4, a goals-against-average of 1.96 and a save-percentage of .928.
Hogeboom, 23, played in one game with the Monarchs, collecting two penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Etobicoke, Ontario, has appeared in 10 games with the Royals this season, collecting 13 points (3-10=13) and two penalty minutes. Hogeboom appeared in 14 games with the Monarchs during the 2004-05 season, recording one goal and 10 penalty minutes. Selected by the Kings in the fifth-round (152nd overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Hogeboom signed a two-year contract with the Kings on April 8, 2004.
Hanchuck, 23, has played in 11 games with the Royals this season, collecting 21 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, played for the Topeka Tarantulas of the Central Hockey League last season. Hanchuck recorded nine assists and 134 penalty minutes in 60 games with the Tarantulas.
Manchester heads to Portland to face the Pirates for the first time this season on Wednesday, November 23 at 7:05 p.m. A post-Thanksgiving match-up between the Monarchs and the Hartford Wolf Pack is scheduled for Friday, November 25 at 7:35 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arean.
