LAST WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS

At Providence (11/18): The Manchester Monarchs edged the Providence Bruins, 4-3, at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday night. Right wing Brad Smyth and center Matt Ryan added tallies to left wing Jeff Tambellini's two goals for the Monarchs. Providence's goals were scored by right wing David Lundbohm and centers Tyler Redenbach and Ben Guite. Monarchs' goaltender Barry Brust earned his fourth win of the season stopping 42 shots. Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas took the loss making 19 saves on 23 shots. Manchester went 1-for-5 on the power play. Providence was 1-for-7 with the man advantage.

Vs. Lowell (11/19): Center Keith Aucoin scored in the 12th round of the shootout to give the Lowell Lock Monsters a 3-2 win over the Manchester Monarchs at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Saturday night. Center Colin Forbes scored two power play goals to give the Lock Monsters the early lead. The Monarchs answered back with goals from right wing Brad Smyth and left wing Jeff Tambellini. In a 12-round shootout, the Monarchs received goals from Tambellini and right wing Konstantin Pushkarev and Lowell received tallies from right wing Chad Larose, left wing Paul Healey and Aucoin for the win. Monarchs' goaltender Barry Brust stopped 21 shots in regulation and nine in the shootout. Lock Monsters' goaltender Kevin Nastiuk earned the win stopping 21 regulation shots and 10 shootout shots. Manchester went 1-for-6 on the power play. Lowell went 2-for-6 with the man advantage.

At Lowell (11/20): Left wing Jeff Tambellini's sniper of a slap shot lifted the Manchester Monarchs over the Lowell Lock Monsters, 5-4, in overtime at the Tsongas Arena on Sunday night. Right wing Brad Smyth recorded two goals and defenseman Mark Ardelan and center Noah Clarke lit the lamp for the Monarchs. Right wing Chad Larose and center Keith Aucoin scored and left wing Paul Healey had two power play goals for Lowell. Monarchs' goaltender Adam Hauser made 32 saves and Lowell's Vitaly Kolesnik stopped 23 shots. Manchester went 1-for-5 on the power play. Lowell was 2-for-10 with the man advantage.

MONARCHS NEWS & NOTES
The Monarchs (10-3-0-2, 22 points) are in sole possession of second place in the Atlantic Division.

The Monarchs are currently on a five-game road-winning streak.

Manchester has sent nine out of their 15 games into overtime and/or a shootout this season, winning seven out of those nine games.

The Monarchs have only won three games in regulation.

The right wing has 299 goals, 302 assists, 601 points and 641 penalty minutes in 545 professional games spanning 10 seasons in the AHL. Smyth is tied for 38th on the AHL all-time regular season point list with center Michel Harvey who played in the AHL from 1959-71.

The team is undefeated when Smyth scores a goal (5-0-0-1) and 8-1-0-2 when he records a point.

The Monarchs are 8-0-0-1 when both Smyth and Tambellini record a point in the same game.
