ONTARIO, Calif. - The Colorado Eagles (15-9-0-0) and the Ontario Reign (13-9-2-3) were in a scoring battle right up until the very end when the Eagles came out victorious in overtime, 4-3, on Friday evening at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Just under 5 minutes into the second period, Eagles defenseman Brett Kulak was the first to break through Ontario goaltender Jussi Olkinuora from the top of the circle and gain the 1-0 edge over the Reign. Less than four minutes later the Reign retaliated as forward Judd Blackwater caught a pass from blue-liner Nolan Julseth-White and sent a rocket past Eagles goalie Clarke Saunders to tie the game, 1-1. With 8:05 left in the second Eagles forward Nathan Moon stuffed home a shot from defenseman Collin Bowman to give Colorado the 2-1 advantage.

With 14:01 left in the third period, Ontario forward Rocco Carzo tied the game once more 2-2, with a power-play goal, off of a puck that was left up in the crease. Eagles defenseman Mark Nemec netted the Eagles third goal of the night, from the point, to gain the lead over the Reign once more, 3-2, 15:44 into the third stanza. The Reign were able to tie the game one final time with only :59 left in the third period as Blackwater flipped a puck high into the air and behind Saunders to send the game into overtime, tied at 3

Two minutes and twenty-one seconds into the 4-on-4, sudden death overtime, Nemec netted his second goal of the night on a put-back off a rebound from Brock Nixon and emerged the hero in the 4-3 victory over the Ontario Reign.
