TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (13-9-1-3) begin their first of three games in three nights against the Colorado Eagles (14-9-0-0). This is the sixth meeting of the season between these two clubs, with the Reign taking back-to-back wins against the Eagles two weeks prior at home.

MORE DEFENSIVE MOVES:

Blueliner Ryan Parent joins a list of Reign defensemen to be taken out of the lineup, as the former NHL veteran was loaned to the St. John's IceCaps on Thursday after signing a professional tryout agreement (PTO). Fortunately for Ontario, there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel - Kyle Bigos was activated off injured reserve on Wednesday and dressed in the game against the Idaho Steelheads. Ontario also received rookie blueliner Mike DiPaolo earlier today from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.

OLKINUORA TESTED AGAINST EAGLES:

Jussi Olkinuora has started all five games against Colorado this year, sporting a 3-2-0 record with a .899 save percentage and 2.81 goals-against average. With former emergency backup goaltender Spencer McLay signing a standard player contract this week, Olkinuora may be afforded the opportunity to get some rest, especially after starting his 10th straight game on Wednesday.

KOPITAR RETURNS:

With yesterday's activation of Gasper Kopitar, the Slovenian forward made his return to the Reign lineup, recording two shots on goal, and was also the only forward for Ontario to record an even plus-minus. His addition also prompted the move of Tyler Scofield back to his natural position on the wing, although Scofield did play at center for some situations on the man advantage.
