Game Preview
Bitter rivals will square off tonight at Wings Stadium, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Fort Wayne Komets. Tonight is the seventh of 15 regular season encounters between the teams. On the season, the K-Wings are 1-4-1-0 against the Komets.
Winners of three out of their last five games, the K-Wings will return home to Wings Stadium to begin a brief two-game home stand before the holiday break. With 20 points, the K-Wings are currently in fifth place in the North Division.
Starting the season on fire, the Komets own the second-best winning percentage (0.804) in the entire ECHL. With 37 points, Fort Wayne comes into tonight's game tied with the Toledo Walleye for first place in the North Division.

Earlier this afternoon forward Nathan Longpre was reassigned from the Chicago Wolves to the K-Wings. In a separate transaction, Mike DiPaolo has been reassigned to the Springfield Falcons.

Forwards Gergo Nagy and Curtis Valk enter the week looking to extend a streak. Both players begin the week on three-game point streaks.
Shutting the Door
Last Friday marked the first time this season that the K-Wings held their opponent without a goal. The shutout also marked the 16th time in the team's ECHL history (2009-present) and the 88th time overall (1974-present) that the K-Wings held their opponent scoreless.
Nearing History
Goaltender Joel Martin is closing in on K-Wings' ECHL history. Martin is one win shy of establishing the K-Wings ECHL record for victories.
Lock Down
Fort Wayne has been able slow down Kalamazoo. In their last nine periods against one another the Komets have outscored the K-Wings 11-2.
High Five
Fort Wayne's Eric Faille has been on a scoring tear. Faille enters the game on a five-game point streak.
At Home on the Road
The Komets come into Wings Stadium with a road record of 12-2-0-0. The 12 road wins are the most in the entire league and the Komets, who are currently on a five-game road winning streak, haven't suffered a road loss since November 19th against the Toledo Walleye.
