Reign Receive DiPaolo from Springfield Falcons

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, four-time Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, announced that rookie defenseman Mike DiPaolo has been reassigned to the club from the Kalamazoo Wings by the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, the AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

DiPaolo (DEE-paul-low), 20, has appeared in six games this season with Kalamazoo, the ECHL affiliate of the Falcons, recording one goal and 16 penalty minutes.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound defenseman split the 2013-14 season with the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League. He earned four points (4a) and racked up 165 penalty minutes in 51 appearances with the Islanders. Over three seasons with the Sting, the Brantford, Ontario native skated in 64 games and registered one goal along with 75 penalty minutes.

Reign Drops:

Friday's game against the Colorado Eagles is a New York Grill Fan Friday. The New York Grill, located at 950 Ontario Mills Drive, invites all Reign fans to come before and/or after all Friday night games. They will stay open late on Friday game nights and provide special "Reign" post-game happy hour with $4 draft beers and $6 select appetizers.

On Saturday, the Reign will host the Eagles at 6 p.m.

Sunday's game against Colorado at 3 p.m. is also Jeffrey Hallock Night. The Reign will recognize this longtime season ticket holder, who won a night in his honor.
