Nazem Kadri and Joe Colborne Named to AHL All-Star Roster

The Toronto Marlies, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced today that forwards Nazem Kadri and Joe Colborne have both been named to the Western Conference All-Star roster for the 2012 AHL All-Star Classic.

Colborne, 21, has skated in 24 games with the Marlies this season, collecting 24 points (11 goals, 13 assists) and eight penalty minutes. He was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for October, recording 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) during the month. The Calgary, Alberta native began the 2011-12 season by recording a point in each of his first eight games. The 6'5, 213-pound forward has played in nine games this season with the Maple Leafs, recording a goal and three assists. Colborne registered his first career NHL goal on November 22 at Tampa Bay.

Kadri, 21, has played in 22 games with the Marlies this season, collecting 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) and 16 penalty minutes. The London, Ontario native is currently playing with the Maple Leafs where he's notched five points (two goals, three assists) in nine games. Kadri was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for November. During the month, Kadri posted 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 12 games.

The 2012 AHL All-Star Classic will take place January 29-30 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. For the full list of both rosters of the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star teams, please visit www.theahl.com.

The Marlies play a pair of games this weekend at Ricoh Coliseum.
