Nailers Acquire Defensmen Joe Tolles from Cincinnati

WHEELING, WV- The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Montreal Canadiens, have announced a transaction, which takes effect immediately. Wheeling has acquired defenseman Joe Tolles from the Cincinnati Cyclones, in exchange for future considerations.
Tolles, 24, spent the start of the 2011-12 season with the Nailers, appearing in 25 games, scoring his first career goal on January 14th in Cincinnati. He also added four assists with Wheeling, before tacking on three more in 18 games with the Kalamazoo Wings. Prior to turning pro, Joe spent two seasons with the Helena Bighorns of the NAHL, two seasons with the QMJHL's Moncton Wildcats, one season in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers, and two years at Brock University.
Thus far this season, the Toledo, OH native has appeared in games with three teams, suiting up with the San Francisco Bulls, Cincinnati Cyclones, and CHL's Fort Worth Brahmas. Tolles began the campaign with Fort Worth, suiting up in 33 games, posting one goal, two assists, and three points, before playing three games each with the Bulls and Cyclones.
Tolles will be in the lineup, wearing uniform number three, when the Nailers play host to the Reading Royals at 7:00 on Friday night.
