The Jackals are facing the Walleye tonight for the first, and only, time this season. The Jackals hold an 8-6-1 record all time against Toledo which includes a 6-5-0 mark in Toledo. They swept the season series in 2011-12 three games to none and outscored the Walleye 15-3 in the process. Toledo has gone 3-0-0 at home against the Atlantic Division (all vs. Wheeling) so far this season in building a 6-1-1 overall record against the Jackals' divisional brethren. Noteworthy performances by current Jackals in Toledo include: Maxime Clermont's 3-0-0 record with Kalamazoo against the Walleye last season and Andrew Rowe's first ECHL goal with Greenville on Feb. 26, 2011.
The Jackals had a light workload in January with 11 games (7-3-1) in 31 days. Now that the calendar has turned to February they will be facing a sprint to the end of the season chocked full of games. Elmira plays 13 games in February and 16 games in March which translates to an average of a game every other day (29 games in 58 days) over the final two months of the season. It's almost a 50-50 split between home and away with 15 on the road and 14 at First Arena. Eighteen of the 29 games are against divisional opponents.
Mark your calendars! The Jackals are back on First Arena ice on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 to take on the Reading Royals at 7:05 p.m. The Jackals will be holding a post-game autograph session with select players and hosting Willowcreek Wednesday. Groups of 10 or more are eligible for discounted tickets and preferred seating based on availability.Call 607-734-7825 to book your group outing. Pro-rated season ticket packages are on sale, as well. Season tickets offer the best value for Jackals fans.
