Moya Belts 17th Home Run on Sunday

The SeaWolves dropped the series finale with the Trenton Thunder on Sunday afternoon at Jerry Uht Park 4-1.

Trenton jumped ahead on Erie starter Tommy Collier in the first inning. Mason Williams led off and belted a solo home run for a 1-0 lead. The Thunder then loaded the bases on a Ben Gamel walk, Tyler Austin single and Rob Segedin walk. With one out, Zach Wilson lifted a sacrifice fly to center, plating Gamel for a 2-0 lead.

In the second, Ali Castillo connected on a solo home run to left with one out making it 3-0.

The 'Wolves lone run came in the last of the seventh against Trenton reliever Fred Lewis when Steven Moya belted an opposite-field solo home run. The solo blast was Moya's 17th of the season.

Trenton would add an insurance run in the top of the ninth for a 4-1 lead on back-to-back doubles from Dan Fiorito and Carmen Angelini.

Collier (2-7) took the loss allowing three runs on five hits with three walks and a strikeout in four innings of work.
