
Moore chased early in Pigs' loss to RailRiders

(Moosic, PA) - Matt Moore (0-1) threw 59 pitches through 1 2/3 innings on Thursday night for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (14-13) against the Scranton Wilkes/Barre RailRiders (18-7). The RailRiders would win 5-1 against Lehigh Valley.
Trey Amburgey continued his hot hitting for the RailRiders as he hit an RBI double off Moore to take a 1-0 lead. Andrew Velasquez walked with the bases loaded to score Chris Gittens and extend the lead to 2-0.
Moore allowed two runs through 1 2/3 innings. Jeff Singer got Amburgey to groundout to first base to end a scoring threat in the bottom of the second inning. The lone run of the game for Lehigh Valley came in the top of the fourth inning against Brian Keller as Darick Hall hit an RBI double to score Ruben Tejada.
Julian Garcia pitched 3 2/3 innings in relief of Singer and allowed three runs off two hits with four walks and three strikeouts. The three runs came in the bottom of the sixth inning when Hoy Jun Park scored on a wild pitch and Socrates Brito hit a two-run single to give the RailRiders a 5-1 lead.
Kyle Barraclough (3-0) pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief to earn the win for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. David Paulino retired the side in the bottom of the eighth inning for the IronPigs. Adam Haseley went 1-for-3 with one walk in his return for Lehigh Valley.
The IronPigs and RailRiders play on Friday evening at PNC Field in Moosic. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
