Missiaen Earns Promotion to AHL Hartford
December 27, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced goaltender Jason Missiaen has been recalled to Hartford by New York.
A fourth-year pro, Missiaen earned his fifth straight victory between the pipes for the Road Warriors last night with a 31-save effort against the Gwinnett Gladiators. The performance extended his winning streak to a career-high five games, and also matched his career-best streak of seven games without being defeated in regulation.
The reigning CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week, Missiaen was 6-0-1 in his last seven starts with the Road Warriors this season, posting a 1.41 goals against average, .957 save percentage and two shutouts during that span. He went a perfect 4-0-0 last week with a .99 goals against average, .965 save percentage and two shutouts to earn the ECHL's weekly honor for the fourth time in his career.
A native of Chatham, Ontario, Missiaen began this season with Hartford and went 1-2-1 with a 3.78 goals against average and .881 save percentage in four appearances prior to being assigned to Greenville on Oct. 29th. The 24-year old has registered a record of 13-21-4 in 43 career AHL games with Hartford and Connecticut since his debut in 2011.
The 6'8, 206-pound netminder was selected in the fourth round (#116 overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
