Game Preview
History will be made this evening the Kalamazoo Wings travel to Fifth-Third Field to battle the Toledo Walleye in the very first Outdoor Game in ECHL history. On the season, the K-Wings are 1-3-0-0 versus the Walleye.
The K-Wings come out of the Christmas break looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Kalamazoo went into the break after losing to Toledo 4-1 last Saturday night at Wings Stadium. With 20 points, the K-Wings enter the night in sixth place in the North Division.
The Walleye come out of the break looking to pick up where they left off. Toledo hits the ice trying to extend a five-game (4-0-1-0) unbeaten streak. The Walleye, who are 10-1-2-0 in their last 13 games, are in second place in the North Division.

The K-Wings power-play has been stellar on the road. Kalamazoo ranks fourth in the league with a road percentage of 22.2%.
Nearing History Kalamazoo's Joel Martin is closing in on K-Wings' ECHL history. Martin is one win shy of establishing the K-Wings ECHL record for victories (59).
Heading Outside
The Walleye will host the K-Wings this evening in the very first Outdoor Game in ECHL history. Toledo will host one more Outdoor Game this season, on January 2nd, against the Fort Wayne Komets.
Out in Front When the Walleye score first they are tough to beat. Toledo is 17-0-1-0 when they score the game's first goal.
Rookie Sensation
Toledo's Tyler Barnes is currently on a five-game point streak. Barnes, who leads all ECHL rookies in scoring with 33 points (13 goals, 20 assists) has registered points in 12 out of his last 13 games.
Simply Winning Toledo enters tonight on a five-game (4-0-1-0) unbeaten streak. The Walleye, who are 10-1-2-0 in their last 13 games, suffered their lone regulation defeat in that span on December 12th in a 2-0 setback to the K-Wings.
