Game Preview: Gladiators at Road Warriors

GREENVILLE, SC - The Gladiators (8-16-1-0) will take on the Greenville Road Warriors (19-9-0-1) tonight at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena for their final road game until January 17th. The Glads will host their next seven contests at The Arena at Gwinnett Center, and 11 of their next 12 in Gwinnett.

Last night, the Gladiators dropped a 5-3 match to the Road Warriors. Casey Pierro-Zabotel and J.P. Labardo both picked up two assists in the effort. Gwinnett has yet to defeat Greenville this season, and have dropped their last eight in the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Glads Notes:

Power Surge: The Gladiators power play is clicking at a 17.2% conversion rate, good for 13th in the league. At home, the team is 7-for-46 (15.2%), 16th in the league. On the road, they are even better - 9-for-47 (19.1%), 9th in the ECHL. The team has scored a power play goal in six of their last eight games played.

No Shot: The Glads are the only team in the league to not have reached the shootout this season; the Alaska Aces were the only other team to have not reached the extra session until last Saturday. The Gladiators are 2-1 in OT.

Gladiators Ahoy: Two players currently on the Gladiators roster have been assigned from their AHL affiliate, the Portland Pirates- James Melindy and Nathan Burns - and eight more - Joel Hanley (POR), Dan O'Donoghue (POR), Greg Carey (POR), Dyson Stevenson (POR), Mike Lee (POR), Jordon Southorn (POR), Bretton Stamler (HFD), and Casey Pierro-Zabotel (NOR) - have been spent time in the AHL this year.

Milestones: Eric Springer played in his 100th regular season professional game last night ... Garry Nunn is two goals away from his 50th professional tally ... Geoff Paukovich is two goals from his 50th as a pro, and two points away from his 100th ECHL point.

Streaks: Garry Nunn has two goals and an assist in his last two games ... J.P. Labardo has three goals and two assists in his last four games ... Tristin Llewellyn has three goals and four assists in his last eight games ... Casey Pierro-Zabotel has a goal and nine assists during his six-game point streak ... Marshall Everson has two goals and three assists in his last three games ...
