Kalamazoo Wings News Release
KALAMAZOO- A day after been loaned to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves, defenseman Joe Sova has been returned to the Kalamazoo Wings and is expected to be in the K-Wings lineup tonight.
Sova played last night for the Wolves in their 6-2 game victory against the Milwaukee Admirals.
In separate transactions, Scott Munroe has been reassigned to the Springfield Falcons. Munroe's reassignment to Springfield marks the 13th time this season that a member of the K-Wings has been either called-up or loaned to an AHL team. The K-Wings have signed Larkin Saalfrank as an emergency goaltender.
Kalamazoo will make ECHL history later today as they travel to Fifth-Third Field in Toledo, Ohio for a 5:30 p.m. encounter in the ECHL's first-ever Outdoor Game against the Toledo Walleye.
The K-Wings will return home on Wednesday, December 31st to the host the Cincinnati Cyclones at 8 p.m. during the 13th Annual New Year's Eve Bash. The K-Wings will get in a festive mood by wearing special Tuxedo jerseys. Following the game the K-Wings will host a postgame bash featuring a live DJ in Wings Stadium during the FREE public skate. Fans will be able to celebrate the New Year with the K-Wings players. There will be plenty of fun activities in the concourse and even Keg Curling in The Annex. One lucky fan will start 2015 with pizza for a year courtesy of Hungry Howie's. Admittance to the bash is included with your K-Wings game ticket for December 31st. Due to limited skate rentals, the K-Wings encourage fans to bring their own skates.
Tickets for all K-Wings home games are currently on sale at Wings Stadium Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, including www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.
Fans that plan on attending multiple games can avoid service fees plus enjoy a discount from the single-game price by purchasing a 12, 24 or 36-game flexi-plan. These plans along with group ticket packages (15 or more people) may be ordered through the K-Wings front office by calling (269) 743-6011.
