Early in the second period, the Nailers evened the score as defenseman Morgan Ellis blasted a feed from former Stingray Nick Kuqali past netminder Jeff Jakaits (W, 24 saves on 25 shots) at 2:11. Late in the frame, Cherniwchan put the Stingrays back on top on the power play at 17:32 beating Palazzese along the goal line.
