Minnesota United FC News Release
GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota United has announced its broadcast schedule for the 2020 season. Headlining the 34-game season are seven nationally televised games and 27 broadcast locally on the FOX Sports North networks.
Fox Sports North will carry two of the first four games of the season, on the road against San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, March 7 and at home versus Montreal Impact on Saturday, March 21. FS1 will carry the season opener in Portland on Sunday, March 1 and the Allianz Field Home Opener on Sunday, March 15 against New York Red Bulls at 6:00 p.m. CT.
"We're incredibly excited to continue with Fox Sports North as we head into our fourth season in MLS," said MNUFC CEO Chris Wright. "FSN allows us to reach all of our fans in North and South Dakota, Northern Iowa and Wisconsin as well as Minnesota. This continuing major presence in the Upper Midwest helps us in growing our clubs fanbase with what we and many others continue to believe is the best broadcast team in soccer - Callum Williams and Kyndra de St. Aubin."
The broadcast team for Minnesota United telecasts on FOX Sports North features play-by-play announcer Callum Williams and Minnesota native Kyndra de St. Aubin as color commentator.
Fox Sports North's lineup includes 13 home games at Allianz Field and 14 on the road this season. A total of 14 will be presented on FOX Sports North PLUS and one on FOX Sports Go. Additionally, 25 matches will be simulcast on FOX Sports Wisconsin, extending the team's reach to an additional million homes in the Upper Midwest.
All matches will include Loons Live, a 30-minute pre- and postgame show, and will be streamed live on FOX Sports GO.
The Official Watch Party presented by Summit Brewing Co. for the Loons' season opener against Portland will be held at Brit's Pub in downtown Minneapolis on Sunday, March 1. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. Fans can head to the Dubliner to watch the Loons take on San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, March 7, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
