South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays defeated the Pensacola Ice Pilots last night at the North Charleston Coliseum, 5-2, to finish a six-game sweep of the season series. Cail MacLean, Travis Morin, Marty Guerin, and Steve Pinizzotto (twice) tallied goals, while goaltender Josh Johnson stopped 23 shots for the victors. Mississippi, though, fell on the road to the Columbia Inferno last evening, 3-2.

G Maxime Ouellet, who signed with the Sea Wolves recently but has yet to play a game, was a 1st round pick in the 1999 NHL Draft by Philadelphia, and has spent time in the NHL with the Flyers, Capitals, and Canucks ... The Sea Wolves, who are finishing a six-game road trip, have lost three straight and four of its last five contests.
