Cashman recalled to Toronto

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 16, 2008)-Inferno defenseman Reid Cashman has been recalled to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, Inferno head coach and director of hockey operations Troy Mann announced today.

Cashman, a 24-year-old native of Red Wing, Minn., has 16 points (two goals, 14 assists) and 20 penalty minutes in 29 games with the Inferno this season, his first in the ECHL.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound defenseman has three assists and four penalty minutes in 12 career AHL games with the Marlies from 2006-07 through 2007-08.

Prior to turning pro, Cashman had 148 points (23 goals, 125 assists) and 246 points in 151 career games with Quinnipiac University from 2003-04 through 2006-07.

The Columbia Inferno host the Pensacola Ice Pilots on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1:05 p.m.
