Fukufuji was strong in the period, stopping 19 shots and helping Bakersfield kill off four power plays in the frame. RW Todd Griffith punched in his 12th of the season with less than a minute to go in the period to build a 3-0 advantage after two.

Bakersfield held the lead in the third period, despite a 19-4 shot advantage for the Grizzlies. The physical play came to a head with just over five minutes left in the game, as a line brawl erupted on the ice. When the dust settled 102 minutes in penalties had been handed out. A late goal by Utah ended Fukufuji's shut out bid with just 1:24 remaining, but the Condors took home the win.

Bakersfield finished the three-game series in Utah 2-1-0, with Fukufuji picking up both wins in his return from the Injured Reserve.
