Wheeling, WV - Forward Kurtis McLean has been returned to the Wheeling Nailers from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, it was announced on Tuesday.
McLean, 25, has appeared in 32 games with the AHL's Penguins this season, recording 15 points (4+11), eight penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating.
A native of Kirkland Lake, ON, McLean has played 41 games for Wheeling this season, and currently ranks fourth on the team with 56 points (31+25). He is also second on the team with a plus-21 rating. He has scored a goal in four straight games.
McLean was named a starter to the American Conference All-Star Team, but was unable to participate when he was recalled by Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
McLean was signed by the Penguins as a free agent on Sept. 29, 2005.
