Thursday, November 11 - Missouri Mavericks at Quad City Mallards, 7:05 p.m. CST

The Mavericks begin three games in three nights on the road at Quad City in the first of seven meetings between the teams this season. The Mavericks and Mallards are currently tied for fifth place in the Turner Conference with eight points each. Quad City is one of five teams to join the CHL this off-season from the old International Hockey League (IHL).

Friday, November 12 - Missouri Mavericks at Wichita Thunder, 7:05 p.m. CST

Missouri will look for revenge on Friday night when they head to Wichita to take on the Thunder at Intrust Bank Arena. The Mavericks lost their first ever game to the Thunder this past Saturday night after Wichita tied the game late in the third period and won the game with a goal late in the overtime period. The Mavericks are now 11-0-1 against the Thunder and have still not been defeated by Wichita in regulation. This is the third of 11 games scheduled between the Mavs and Thunder and the first of five in Wichita.

Saturday, November 13 - Missouri Mavericks vs. Fort Wayne Komets, 7:05 p.m. CST

Saturday's game is another first for the Mavericks when they host the Fort Wayne Komets at Independence Events Center. Fort Wayne comes to the CHL this season having won the past three IHL championships, however the Komets are off to a slow start this season currently sitting in last place in the Turner Conference. The game will be televised on Metro Sports.

Friday, November 5 - Missouri 4 vs. Tulsa 2

The Missouri Mavericks ended a three-game losing streak Friday night at Independence Events Center with a 4-2 win over the Tulsa Oilers. The game was delayed for over an hour as the Oilers' team bus caught on fire earlier in the day while they were making the drive to Independence. Mike Berry and Dominic D'Amour each had a goal and an assist in the win for the Mavericks and goaltender Gerry Festa stopped 27 of 29 shots to improve his record to 3-1-0 on the season.

Saturday, November 6 - Missouri 3 vs. Wichita 4 - Overtime

The Mavericks looked to win their 12th consecutive game over the Wichita Thunder Saturday night at Independence Events Center. The game proved to be a thriller as Wichita scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals with just seconds remaining in the third period and overtime period respectively. The Thunder collected their first ever win against Missouri, beating the Mavericks 4-3 in overtime. The game marked the third time this season the Mavericks have lost a game while leading in the third period.

Promotions & Notes

Mavs on Metro Sports - The Mavericks will play their second of five televised games on Metro Sports this Saturday against the Fort Wayne Komets. Missouri's remaining games on Metro Sports are Saturday, January 15, Friday, February 11 and Friday, March 4.

Team Leaders - Ryan Jardine and Nick Sirota lead the Mavericks with eight points each and they each have three goals and five assists. Toby Lafrance is tied with Jardine and Sirota for the team lead in assists with five and Mike Berry leads the Mavericks with four goals this season. Three of Berry's four goals have come by way of the power play which is tied for fourth in the CHL. Captain Carlyle Lewis leads the Mavericks with 56 penalty minutes ranking fifth in the Central Hockey League.

Goalie Leaders - Both of the Mavericks goalies are ranked in the top 10 among goaltenders in the CHL in goals-against average. Robby Nolan ranks seventh with a 2.24 GAA and Gerry Festa is ninth in the league with a 2.53 GAA.

Leads lost - The Mavericks have lost three third-period leads in their first eight games this season. Most recently, the Wichita Thunder scored with 16 seconds remaining in the third period on Saturday night to force overtime and the Thunder won the game with a goal with 4 seconds remaining in the overtime period. In five of the Mavericks' eight games to date, the team has had the lead with five minutes remaining in regulation but the Mavs are just 3-1-1 in those games securing seven of a possible 10 points.

First Birthday - The Mavericks and Independence Events Center are pleased to announce the Mavericks and their fans will celebrate the IEC's first birthday this Saturday night, November 13 during the Mavericks' game against the Fort Wayne Komets.

Hooter's Watch Parties - All season long, catch the Mavericks' road games live at Hooters next to the IEC. The Mavericks head to Quad City Thursday night and Wichita on Friday night and both games will begin at 7:05 p.m. The Mavericks will also be on hand with prizes.
