Thunder Adds Goal Scorer Robinson

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder has acquired left wing Matt Robinson from the Laredo Bucks in exchange for future considerations.

Robinson appeared in eight games this season for the Bucks, scoring one goal and five asssits. The fifth-year professional ranked 13th in the ECHL last year with 31 goals, while totaling 64 points in 63 games between Stockton and Johnstown. The South Surrey, British Columbia native has 75 goals and 150 points in 202 career professional games with a +29 rating.

Robinson spent the first four years of his career at the ECHL level, beginning with a 21-goal campaign as a rookie for the Alaska Aces in 2006-07. The 6-foot-1, 186-pound Robinson returned to Alaska the following year and scored another 19 goals with 18 assists in 58 games. The 25-year old left wing played three seasons of juniors, including two at the Major Junior level in the WHL from 2004-2006. Robinson scored 79 goals and 150 total points in 174 career junior games.
