Mathieu Aubin to Play in 500th Pro Game Tonight

Cincinnati, Ohio - Utah Grizzlies forward Mathieu Aubin will play in his 500th career game tonight when the Grizzlies play in Cincinnati.
Live broadcast coverage of the game will begin on 1320 KFAN at 5:30 p.m. with the "Grizzlies Road Show" following an abbreviated edition of "Gunther In The Afternoon."
Aubin, is in his second year with Utah, and was cleared for training camp after fracturing his neck last year on April 9, 2014 in a game against Las Vegas at Maverik Center. He was the team's third leading scorer in 2013-2014 with 16 goals and 28 assists for 44 points in 58 games. He led the team with five goals and 16 assists on the power-play and was second on the team with 13 multiple-point games. Aubin enters tonight with three goals in his last two games.
Ironically, Aubin plays his 500th game in Cincinnati after he played 291 games with the Cyclones from 2006-2013. During his career with the Cyclones, he won two Kelly Cup Championships, had 110 goals and 165 assists and served as team captain. Aubin won his third pro championship with the Hamilton Bulldogs in 2009.
He was drafted by Montreal in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He was acquired from Cincinnati along with Michael Pelech on November 8, 2013.
The Grizzlies next move on to Wheeling, West Virginia for games Friday and Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
