Solar Bears to Televise Three Games on Local 6

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, announced today that they have reached an agreement with Channel 6-WKMG in Orlando to air three regular season games for the second straight season. The Solar Bears and Local 6 teamed up for three

broadcasts last season, combining to reach over 97,000 households.

This season's network television schedule begins on Saturday, December 27, against the Florida Everblades at 7:00 p.m. The second game will air on Saturday, February 28, at 8:00 p.m. as the Solar Bears battle the Gwinnett Gladiators. The third game on Local 6 this season will be tape delayed, airing at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, against the Reading Royals (puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.).

Returning to the broadcast booth this season are Solar Bears play-by-play announcer Bob Mills alongside Local 6 Sports Director David Pingalore. Sam Piotrowski will once again provide interviews and rinkside reports during the game.
