Marlies to host "Get To The Rink In Pink" Night

A proud member of the American Hockey League, the Toronto Marlies announced today that they will present 'Get To The Rink In Pink' Night this Sunday, March 11, in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, when the team plays host to the Hamilton Bulldogs at 4 p.m.

The Marlies and their opponent will sport a pink ribbon on the back of their helmet in demonstration of their support for this worthy cause. Toronto players will also be using pink skate laces and pink tape for the duration of the game. Foundation volunteers, along with Marlies' wives and girlfriends will collect donations from fans while distributing pink ribbons in Ricoh Coliseum's main atrium and in Marlies' Alley.

Marlies' right wing Brad Leeb will participate in a ceremonial face-off before the game with his father, Don. Leeb's mother Carol passed away due to this illness in 2002, underlining his support for this initiative.

A number of great collectible items will be available via silent auction throughout the game. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, as

will a portion of the game's ticket sales. Included among these items are a Marlies' signed jersey and stick, a Brad Leeb autographed St. John's Maple Leafs' jersey, a Justin Pogge

autographed Marlies' jersey, various game-worn player helmets and much more. The team will also be holding an online auction for a VIP Dinner with Leeb. Details can be viewed by visiting
