(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans' mascot, The Moose, will be unveiling the team's new Irish jersey Thursday, March 8th, at the County Office Building (39 W. Main St.) at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Day Parade press conference.

The jerseys will be worn Friday as part of Irish Night. That night, the Amerks will take to the ice against the Syracuse Crunch. As part of the festivities, fans can enjoy Irish music and watch the Irish dancers. Faceoff is set for 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena.

During the game, fans can bid on the game-worn jerseys of their favorite player, along with the matching game socks, in a silent auction in the upper atrium bar area. All proceeds generated through the jersey auction will go to FOODLINK.

The Amerks return to the ice on Friday, as they welcome back their thruway rival, the Syracuse Crunch, to The Blue Cross Arena. The game will be the eighth of 12 scheduled meetings between the two North Division clubs. The Amerks are 4-3-0 this season against the Crunch. Rochester is looking to return its winning ways as they have lost five out of its last six games.
