Syracuse Crunch and Ale 'N' Angus Pub Present 'The Great Arena Entertainment Battle of the Season'

Syracuse, NY (March 7, 2007) - The Syracuse Crunch and Ale 'N' Angus introduced today the details of The Great Arena Entertainment Battle of the Season between Crunch in-game entertainers Big Sexy and The Viking to be held on Saturday, March 10.

During the second period of the Crunch's Saturday, March 10 game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Big Sexy and The Viking will face-off to claim the title of Crunch promotional entertainer of the year.

The Viking has lead fans with his blow horn for the past 13 years. He has been instrumental in knowing the appropriate time to get the fans into the game, beginning with his signature blow horn, and cheer of "give me a C, give me a R, give me a U, give me a N, give me a C, give me a H. What's that spell? CRUNCH. What's that spell? CRUNCH, followed by a fan chant of Let's Go Crunch and the banging of the arena seats.

Big Sexy just arrived at the War Memorial this season and has entertained fans with his fancy footwork and dance moves to various songs. His dance often corresponds with the theme of that night, such as dressing as Hulk Hogan when RAW Superstar Torrie Wilson was in town or paying salute to Britney Spears at the game the Crunch had invited her to.

The Crunch host Albany on Friday, March 2 in a 7:30 p.m. match-up. Tickets are available by calling the crunch office at (315) 473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter box office located on the state street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
