Marlies Re-Assign Engelage & Slaney To Reading

Jeff Jackson, General Manager of the Toronto Marlies, announced today that the club has re-assigned forward Robert Slaney and goaltender Andrew Engelage to their ECHL affiliate, the Reading Royals.

Slaney, 21, skated in 34 games with the Marlies, recording six assists and 15 penalty minutes. The 6'3, 203-pound forward played in four games earlier this season with the Royals, tallying one assist and two penalty minutes.

Engelage, 21, played in nine games with the Marlies, compiling a record of 2-5-0 with a 4.17 goals-against average and 0.863 save percentage. In his last start on January 30 versus Rochester, the 6'5, 205-pound goaltender made 32 saves in the Marlies 2-0 loss and earned third star honours.

The Marlies play the Manitoba Moose, AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, tonight at 8:30 p.m. (ET) at the MTS Centre.
